Rose, Marigold and Violet are three colours but they are also three kinds of flower. And Rose, Marigold and Violet are also the names for three puppet sisters who live in Koklokrom. They are not actually puppets, for a couple of reasons... Puppets are usually controlled from inside their body and are worn like a glove. But the flower girls were marionettes, the kind of "puppet" that is controlled by strings attached to their limbs. Further, the girls had once shown great kindness to a tired old lady who magically freed them from their strings so that they now lived like happy little girls in Koklokrom...
